Denver East Boys Tennis is looking for a Junior Varsity Coach

The season runs from August through the end of September. Practice and home matches are held at the City Park tennis courts. Great opportunity to help grow the sport of tennis and work with a wide range of athletes.
Essential Functions and Objectives:

The Coach teaches fundamental and advanced athletic skills and works with athletes to prepare them for competition. The Coach is an expert on the rules, strategies, and techniques required for the sport and is responsible for the coordination and recruitment of student participants among other duties.
Job Qualifications:

  • Assist with the organization and developing the high school program.
  • Basic knowledge of boys’ tennis.
  • Possess or has the ability to acquire a valid Colorado Coaching Certificate.
  • Successfully pass the CHSAA coaches test, acquire CHSSA coaching registration and complete a concussion course per State Legislation and CHSAA By-Laws.
  • CPR & AED Certification required

Mullen High School is seeking to hire an energetic and committed Head Boy’s Tennis Coach. The Coach is expected to provide leadership, plan, organize, and be responsible for a comprehensive and competitive interscholastic tennis program. This position reports to the Athletic Director.

  • Demonstrate the principles of Positive Coaching Alliance as well as carry out objectives of the school’s core principles and values in accordance with its Mission.
  • Development of lower level program(s) and coaches to include varsity assistant coaches with the expectation to follow and exemplify the school’s Mission.
  • Direct oversight of the program’s booster club.

Columbine High School Assistant Boys Tennis Coach

Instructs student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize individual and team success. At the same time, the student athlete shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and self-confidence. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. The assistant coach reports to the head coach and the high school athletic director. 2. The assistant coach is responsible for, and supervises all aspects of their level of the program with direction of the head coach. 3. Provides the head coach with information pertaining to his/her level of the program (scores, schedules, sites, discipline concerns, procedures and is directly responsible for inventory of supplies and equipment, etc.) Schedules and attends practice sessions, develops and implements individual/team training plans by the day, week, month, year as appropriate for their level in conjunction with the overall program goals/philosophy. 4. Makes sure each athlete is cleared from the athletic office to participate. 5. Complies with the rules and regulations as established by CCSD, Centennial League, and the Colorado High School Activities Association.

Home Farm Community (Westminster) has openings

Do you love kids and tennis? Then this is the perfect recurring (and lucrative) summer job for you! Home Farm Community in Westminster is seeking one or two FUN tennis instructors to take over our popular 15-year summer tennis program for kids and teens! Depending on enrollment, group lessons are typically held from 8am-12noon (4 groups per day) Monday through Thursday for the months of June and July. If interested, lessons could be held in August as well. Kids are grouped by age and ability for the group lessons and the lessons are 1 hour long per group. Lessons are available from 4 years of age to adult. Two instructors are optimal as we have two courts. 

  • Session I: June 7th – July 1st
  • Session II: July 5th – July 29th

  • Group Lessons fee per student (Minimum of 6 students) $68/session (For 1 session: 8 /1-hr lessons) This works out to approximately $30/hour or more depending on enrollment.  
  • Private Lessons $35/hour
  • Semi-private Lessons (2 people) $40/hr ($20/person)
  • Semi-private Lessons (3 people) $45/hr ($15/person)

The Highlands Ranch Community Association is seeking a Tennis Professional to perform a variety of duties associated with the operation of the HRCA Tennis Program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, implementing and teaching tennis programs including group and private lessons, leagues, clinics, camps, tournaments and socials. This position is responsible for ensuring the programs and procedures for teaching are in compliance with the recreation program guidelines. Assists in the professional development of Tennis Instructors and Aides. Requirements: Must have working knowledge of tennis reservation systems and block time as it applies to the delivery of program services. Knowledge of tennis desk procedures, computers and customer service functions. Must possess current concussion certification. USPTA Level 1 or USPTR Professional certification is required. Bachelors’ degree in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred, or a minimum of 6 years tennis teaching experience. Must pass a background and drug screening.
