Denver Tennis Park looking for right candidates
The Denver Tennis Park Inc. is an independent not for profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to serving Denver youth through tennis programs that foster whole-child development. Expected completion of DTP’s indoor/outdoor facilities (13 courts) is Fall, 2018. Denver Public Schools and the University of Denver supported the inception of the DTP and are key beneficiaries. 


General Manager

Responsibilities of General Manager

  • Define and administer operational policies and practices of the DTP in accordance with best practices and operating agreements of the organization
  • Hire, develop, manage, and empower facility staff in alignment with mission
  • Collaborative orchestration and then oversight of master facility schedule
  • In conjunction with leadership, develop strategic goals; ensure effective systems to evaluate programs and report regularly on progress toward meeting goals
  • Manage marketing efforts – both digital and traditional – and collaborate with Tennis Director to maximize court usage rates and ensure quality experiences
  • Inspect courts/facilities on a daily-basis and verify all needed maintenance has been reported, performed and the courts are in a safe working order
  • Represent the DTP vision to internal and external stakeholders

Tennis Director

  • Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities of Tennis Director

  • Design and implement initial youth tennis programs which develop the ‘whole-child – sportsmanship, nutrition, mental resilience – and promote DTP’s mission to serve all kids while maintaining an economically self-sustainable organization
  • Plan and oversee youth tennis clinics, special events, and tournaments as appropriate
  • Effectively balance time between focusing on the development, planning and supervision of youth programs
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop DTP strategic goals; ensure effective evaluation and reporting on programs related to those goals
  • Facilitate forecasting of participants + financials for programs aligned with strategic goals
  • Recruit, hire, manage, evaluate, empower and motivate tennis staff in alignment with youth-focused mission
  • Inspect courts/facilities on a daily basis and verify all needed maintenance has been reported, performed and the courts are in a safe working order
  • Post year one, may take charge of creating and running larger portfolio of programs beyond youth tennis: League Play, Adaptive, Womens Programs, Seniors Programs, etc

Meadow Creek Tennis and Fitness Club is one of Denver’s largest year-round tennis facilities with 7 indoor and 3 outdoor hard courts, 2 platform tennis courts, indoor pickleball, fitness center and other amenities. We offer a wide variety of adult and junior programs, tournaments, leagues, drills, and special events that are held year-round.

We are seeking a self-motivated, organized, and energetic Tennis Professional with a positive attitude to join our staff. This is a full time, year-round position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, programming and instructing adult and junior lessons (both private and group), leading drill classes, Cardio Tennis and team practices as well as the ability to plan and run tournaments using the latest USTA TDM software. Recent collegiate level or higher match play experience and USPTA certification is preferred. CPR certification is required. A background check will be run on successful applicants prior to employment begins. Compensation package includes health insurance, paid vacation and IRA investment matching.

Tennis Center at Steamboat looking for High-Performance Tennis Coach

The Tennis Center at Steamboat Springs is currently seeking to hire a high-performance (HP) tennis coach. The HP coach works under the direction of the Tennis Center’s Leadership team to help design, organize, and deliver high quality tennis programming to clinic and camp participants. In addition to serving as a HP tennis coach, this position manages one or more clinics and/or camps and other revenue-generating initiatives.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide a tennis program that caters to all participants including, but not limited to, private lessons, group lessons, clinics, social tennis and free play.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of instructional plans.
  • Take charge and/or assist in on-court activities.
  • Be a role model in consistently showing a high level of respect to each participant, being conscious of equal treatment and attention, and promoting a sense of camaraderie and inclusiveness.
  • Bring a sense of enthusiasm, preparedness and commitment to ensure quality programming.
  • Participate in evaluations of programs and participants as needed.
  • Continuous monitoring of the health and safety of each participant, ensuring that they are kept to the highest standards both on and off the courts.
  • Primary responsibility for the maintenance, repair and security of The Tennis Center of  Steamboat Springs equipment and the satisfactory appearance of grounds to meet client expectations.
  • Work as part of a team to set up, break down, and pack up tennis equipment each day, and be proactive in providing assistance as needed to all participants using the equipment.
  • Assist with maintaining the tennis courts and common areas, keeping areas clean of trash, store equipment neatly and in an orderly fashion.
  • Adhere to all Tennis Center at Steamboat Springs policies and procedures.
  • Participate in all training and continuing educational activities as directed.
  • Attend staff meetings as directed.
  • Come to work dressed neatly and professionally, in appropriate tennis clothing.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of tennis tournaments.
  • Promote and encourage student participation in all Tennis Center programs and events (NJTL, JTT, clinic parties/fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, etc.).
  • Participate in or volunteer for special events where the coaches’ presence or on court assistance is needed.
  • Exhibit a willingness to travel with The Tennis Center at Steamboat participants to tournaments and/or on trips.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  •  Competitive tennis play from collegiate play D1, D2 or 5.0 club level
  • Ability to manage groups effectively and efficiently
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to be a positive role model to participants
  • Demonstrated reliability and responsibility
  • PTR or USTPA  certification or ability to obtain in 6 months
  • Well-developed capacity to work effectively in a dynamic team setting with a diverse group of passionate people.

Started in 2015, LPTC is an 8 court public facility just a few miles from Denver(Kipling and Alameda). Going into its 4th year, LPTC is excited to share the growth of their up-and-coming club with these new positions.
