You know how it feels when you’re at an event with people who share a similar passion? Conversations, well, they just flow, and even if you don’t actually know someone personally, you feel comfortable, and can carry on great conversations with them.
That’s a good way to describe what happened twice in early April when MassMutual Colorado hosted VIP Appreciation events for sixty or so USTA Colorado volunteers and supporters at Pinehurst Country Club, as part of their new partnership with the organization.
“We wanted to host a VIP event because we thought it would be a good way to introduce ourselves and get to know the people who devote themselves to USTA Colorado,” said Debi Eggleston, managing director for MassMutual Colorado. “We enjoyed mingling with a great group of genuine people who are committed to the success of the organization,” she went on to say.
Not only did folks get a chance to talk with one another, but they heard from USTA Colorado executive director, Fritz Garger, who shared appreciation for the effort that everyone puts into promoting the growth of tennis in the state. Tennis participation in Colorado is very strong, and there are so many people working in the trenches everyday who contribute to that success.
MassMutual Colorado is the presenting sponsor of USTA Colorado’s District Championship Series, and they’ve got some great things planned for the events, including a Take Your Best Shot Award for teams (stay tuned for details). Look for them at upcoming adult and junior League Championship events.
“We’re excited to be a partner with the Colorado tennis community which provides a great environment for seniors, adults and youth. We feel our two organizations value systems are well aligned, and the real benefit to the tennis community is our team of experts, that bring the most current, relevant knowledge allowing us to best serve their needs,” Eggleston said.
